80% of what children learn by age of 12 is obtained visually. Yet 7 out of 10 school-age children with reading problems have some form of visual impairment

School Vision Screening can detect poor visual acuity, but is does not measure any other vision skills needed for learning. Vision Screenings should not be substituted for a through vision and eye health examination

40+

Vision begins to change after 40. You will need some sort of vision correction for reading, even if you’ve never needed eyeglasses before.  Vision-impairing eye diseases affect 1 in every 3 seniors.  The symptoms are often undetectable, yet the disease may have progressed to a point where treatment options are limited.  Regular eye examinations can detect these diseases much earlier.
