Poor Vision = Poor Performance
When kids aren’t seeing their best, they’re not performing their best. In fact, 60% of Canadian children with reading difficulties have undiagnosed or uncorrected vision problems (National Coalition for Vision Health, Vision Loss).
Kids with vision problems can have trouble playing sports and can suffer from low self-esteem or frustration. Vision problems can even contribute to physical side effects such as redness, watering eyes or headaches.
Kids don’t always know they’re not seeing their best or may not know how to communicate that they’re having trouble seeing. Because of this, its important to make sure all kids are receiving regular eye exams, especially before the start of school.

Sunglasses for Kids
UV protection is very important for children because their developing eyes are at a higher risk for damage from exposure to UV radiation. Children typically spend more time outdoors; with the depleted ozone layer, there is more radiation and the exposure is cumulative. It is important that both skin and eyes are protected a young age.
Sunglasses should have 100% UV absorption and free of distortion for quality vision.
